About This Site

Finding a person in custody in Kent County, Maryland depends on which system has the record. Local detention, Maryland DPSCS custody, court filings, VINE notices, and federal or immigration custody do not all use one database. This private reference site brings the main lookup paths, facility pages, contact points, and request steps into one place.

Why This Site Exists

Maryland makes many jail, court, and public agency records available, but Kent County searches can still be confusing. The county does not publish an official online jail roster or mugshot gallery in the sources reviewed for this project. A current local custody question may start with the Kent County Detention Center, while a sentenced state prisoner belongs in the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services locator. Federal inmates and immigration detainees use still other tools.

This site is organized around those differences. It points readers toward the county detention center, the Sheriff's Office records process, Maryland Judiciary Case Search, Maryland VINE, DPSCS, and federal locators without presenting any of those records as ours.

What Is Covered

The Kent County pages focus on the record paths people usually need after an arrest, booking, transfer, or court filing.

  • Local lookup help for jail inmate records, jail roster mugshots, and court records after a jail arrest.
  • Facility pages for Kent County Detention Center and the planned Mid Shore Regional Detention Center, with addresses, phone details, and available access notes.
  • Plain steps for checking county custody, Maryland DPSCS custody, Maryland VINE, and federal or immigration locator systems.
  • Records-request context for booking records or photographs, including Maryland Public Information Act timing and limits where the research supports it.

What We Cannot Do

Kent County Inmate Population is privately operated. It is not part of Kent County government, the Kent County Sheriff's Office, the Kent County Detention Center, Maryland DPSCS, any court, or any correctional agency.

  • We cannot release, hold, move, or transfer anyone in custody.
  • We cannot post bond, arrange visits, send commissary money, or place calls for you.
  • We cannot give legal advice or interpret a criminal charge for a specific case.
  • We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, office hour, or address has not changed.

Only the office that holds or created the record can confirm custody status, filed charges, release, or official record access.

Search Partners

Some pages may include search tools supplied by third-party providers. Those providers set their own prices, account terms, and result rules. If a visitor follows a partner tool to a paid service, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the Kent County reference pages available, but it does not give us control over partner pricing, reports, records, or data handling.
